school justice
overview
How we keep kids in school
To reduce a student’s risk of involvement with the juvenile justice system, we work with schools, families, government agencies and others across the state on best practices and critical supports:
- Developing resources for families, educators, caseworkers and others to advocate for children in schools (Keeping Kids in Class toolkit)
- Expanding access to behavioral supports at school (School-Based Behavioral Health)
- Convening stakeholders (Georgia Education Climate Coalition)
- Providing legal guidance and representation for children facing disciplinary removal from school (FAIR Project)
