Kate Swett
Director of Operations
Kate Swett manages Georgia Appleseed’s business functions including finance and accounting, human resources, communications, and contracts, as well as supervising programs’ evaluation efforts.
Kate joins Georgia Appleseed with decades of business operations, strategy, and marketing and communications experience as well as a commitment to social justice.
An Atlanta native, Kate’s career has included work at nonprofits, corporations, consulting firms engaged in justice and reform initiatives, and most recently running her own business, providing a full range of communications, operations, and financial management services for her clients.
Kate earned an MBA at Oglethorpe University and a BA at Guilford College. She has long been active in her community through board service that has included LGBTQ+ advocacy, community center stewardship, and executive leadership on school and neighborhood associations.
