About Georgia Appleseed

Each year, Georgia Appleseed keeps tens of thousands of kids in school, in stable, healthy housing, and out of the criminal justice system.

These children get the chance that every child deserves — a chance to become creative and productive community members, leaders, and part of the workforce Georgia needs.

Our unique three-pronged approach is to:

1. CONNECT DIRECTLY with Georgia’s children and their families.
2. GROW COMMUNITIES of advocates, building coalitions, and equipping them with training and tools.
3. EFFECT SYSTEMIC REFORM by identifying tough policy problems and advocating for solutions.

Our team includes lawyers, policy experts, and nonprofit professionals dedicated to reforming policy and systems to improve children’s lives.
Pro bono lawyers, state and local policymakers, and volunteer advocates statewide contribute thousands of hours towards our mission.
