Leah Mungo
Development Associate
Leah brings experience and deep commitment to advancing social justice and equity through effective fundraising and advocacy efforts.
Before joining Georgia Appleseed, Leah was the Senior Development Officer at Posse Foundation. She also served as a Legal Advocate with the Injunction for Protection (IFP) program at Sunrise of Pasco County, where she gained firsthand experience in advocating for the legal rights and protection of vulnerable individuals. Additionally, as a Development & Volunteer Coordinator at Sunrise of Pasco County, Leah successfully increased donor engagement and support for critical services.
Leah holds a degree in Interdisciplinary Social Sciences with concentrations in Public Administration and Sociology from Florida State University and a degree in Legal Studies from Pasco Hernando State College. Her academic background, combined with her professional experience, fuels her passion for creating meaningful change through strategic development initiatives. Leah is excited to contribute to and engage others in Georgia Appleseed’s mission.
