Join Our Team: Programs & Outreach Coordinator
Are you organized, outgoing, and justice-oriented?
Georgia Appleseed Center for Law & Justice is hiring a Programs & Outreach Coordinator to help advance justice for Georgia’s most underrepresented children. This is an exciting opportunity for a highly organized, collaborative professional who’s passionate about improving outcomes for kids across the state.
At Georgia Appleseed, we work to keep children in school, in healthy homes, and out of the juvenile justice system. Through legal representation, policy reform, and community partnerships, we help build a Georgia where every child can learn and thrive.
What You’ll Do
As Programs & Outreach Coordinator, you’ll play a key role supporting our legal and policy work, expanding outreach, and managing volunteer lawyer programs. You’ll work directly with attorneys, educators, and community partners to:
-
Support FAIR (Fairness, Advocacy & Individualized Representation), which provides free legal help to children in school disciplinary and special education proceedings.
-
Coordinate pro bono research projects that drive system-level change.
-
Build relationships across Georgia through community outreach, trainings, and events.
-
Strengthen the systems that keep our programs running smoothly and effectively.
This role sits at the intersection of education, housing, health, and justice — ideal for someone who thrives on connecting people and details to make meaningful impact.
Who We’re Looking For
We’re seeking a detail-oriented, team-minded, and outgoing professional who is:
-
Passionate about children’s rights and wellbeing;
-
Experienced in community outreach, volunteer coordination, or program management;
-
Comfortable working with diverse communities and partners;
-
Skilled at organizing, tracking, and problem-solving across multiple projects.
What We Offer
-
Salary: $55,000–$62,500, commensurate with experience
-
Benefits: 100% employer-paid health, vision, and dental insurance; 401(k) match; generous PTO; FSA/HSA options; and hybrid in-office/remote schedule (Tue–Thu in office, Mon/Fri remote).
