Tierra Moore

Community Engagement Liaison

Tierra Moore manages community outreach and training for Georgia Appleseed’s School Justice initiative.

Tierra joined Georgia Appleseed with a decade of experience in social services and victim advocacy. Tierra is passionate about work that positively impacts the community; especially work that serves marginalized people. Most recently, Tierra served as an Underserved Populations Coordinator for a local nonprofit. In this role she was an advocate for survivors of abuse and linked them to resources to assist with their reintegration into society.

Prior to her role as a coordinator, Tierra was a preschool teacher for three years. She also created and implemented summer camp curriculum for middle schoolers. With her experience in teaching and her role as a Community Outreach Specialist, Tierra discovered her desire to educate the community. Believing “education can be prevention” she aims to arm the community with knowledge and helpful information.

In her free time, Tierra enjoys exploring nature, going on hikes, dancing and traveling. She believes in self-care and setting healthy boundaries. Tierra tries her best to be present and disconnect from outside influences when possible.
