Director of Development
Originally from Columbus, Ohio, Abigail graduated from the University of Florida’s College of Journalism & Communications with a Bachelor of Science in public relations and minor in sociology. Since moving to Atlanta in 2002, she has worked extensively in the Atlanta nonprofit sector, specializing in public and media relations, strategic/integrated communications, grant writing, fundraising event management and donor relations.
Before joining Georgia Appleseed, Abigail held roles in development and communications with well-known Atlanta nonprofits including the Anti-Defamation League, Park Pride, Skyland Trail and Southface. With a passion for promoting the triple bottom line, including social justice and equal treatment for all, Abigail skillfully uses her background in PR to not only target specific audience needs, but cultivate relationships with funders and engage local communities.
Abigail has played an active role in local community service in Atlanta, having volunteered with Cool Girls, The Nature Conservancy, EarthShare of Georgia and ChantLanta. Abigail lives in Sandy Springs with her husband. She enjoys spending time with her family, practicing yoga and being in nature.
